Build:E/any Dust and Feather Farmer

The PvXwiki community finds this to be a good build. Through the PvX vetting system, it has reached an overall Rating in the range from 3.75 to < 4.75 and thus qualifies for the lower category of working builds: Good. This build has been designed for the following use: PvE farming

This is a build that farms Fog Nightmares in The Black Curtain to get Piles of Glittering Dust and Shadowy Remnants which salvage into 2-3 dust each. Each run takes around 5-8 minutes and yields around 70 dust per run. It is also used to farm Feathers outside Seitung Harbor in Factions, which takes 10-12 minutes and yields around 60 feathers.

Usage

Dust Farming

• Leave from Temple of the Ages and follow the route in the video using Flame Djinn's Haste for a speed boost.
• Before aggroing, use Glyph of Restoration and ensure Elemental Attunement, Aura of Restoration and Elemental Lord are active.
• To kill, use Phoenix when foes are in adjacent range, followed by Flame Burst, Flame Djinn's Haste and then Fireball for stragglers.
• Rinse and Repeat for all groups and /resign when done.
• Salvage any Shadowy Remains for more dust.

Feather Farming

• Use Mindbender and Flame Djinn's Haste to have a permanent speed boost.
• Use Elemental Attunement, Aura of Restoration and Elemental Lord before aggroing.
• Walk towards a DarkFeather and ball the melee beside it.
• Faceroll Phoenix, Flame Burst and Flame Djinn's Haste to kill any nearby Tengu, followed by Fireball for stragglers.
  • Note that DarkFeathers will die if in adjacent range when you use Phoenix alone.
  • The other Tengu will require either Flame Burst or Flame Djinn's Haste to finish them off.

Counters

• Over Aggroing can kill you, so don't aggro more than 10 at a time to be on the safe side.
• If the WiK Storyline prevents these spawns from appearing repeat the Graven Images quest outside of Lion's Arch to spawn nightmares (abandon it in town and retake it).

Variants

• Bring Life Attunement if you don't have Elemental Lord.
