A stronger alternative to the late skill, Illusion of Pain, Wastrel's Demise acts as a cover hex in this Illusion-Domination hybrid Mesmer that puts out a lot of damage and shutdown. With a mixture between Illusion Magic for pressure, and Domination Magic for damage, this build pushes out persistent damage in the form of a cover hex as monks cry from spell denial.

Each second while hexed, target foe and all foes adjacent to that foe take 7 damage and an additional 7 damage for each second this spell is in effect. Domination Magic 10 Power Spike Spell If target foe is casting a Spell or a Chant, that Skill is interrupted and target foe takes 90 damage. Core Mesmer. Usage
- Migraine/Frustration on any caster to slow their casting time.
- Wastrel's Demise should be used as a cover hex only. Spamming it outside will only diminish your pool of energy. Using it on low targets is, however, okay.
- Power Spike/CoF/Leech Signet as forms of shutting out caster. Power Spike for Damage, CoF for an AoE interrupt, and Leech Signet for energy.
- First optional usage is determined by skill choice. Drain Enchantment is used for energy and health. Shatter Enchantment is used for additional damage, and Signet of Humility is used to shut out enemy elite skills.
- Second optional is meant entirely for utility. Ether Feast as a self heal, Dash as a getaway mechanic, and warrior stances for defense.
