This ranger build is the most common HA ranger used. It focuses on both offensive/defensive snaring as well as minor spike assistance with Melandru's Shot while applying pressure through Poison and Interrupt. It also has room on its bar to carry vital HA support skills.

Attributes and Skills

Ranger / Elementalist 11 + 1 + 2 Expertise 8 + 1 Marksmanship 8 + 1 Wilderness Survival 9 Earth Magic Melandru's Shot Factions Ranger. Marksmanship 9 Melandru's Shot Elite Bow Attack If this attack hits, your target bleeds for 17 seconds. If it hits a foe that is moving or knocked down, that foe takes +19 damage and is crippled for 10 seconds. 8 1 2 Savage Shot Core Ranger. Marksmanship 9 Savage Shot Bow Attack If Savage Shot hits, your target's action is interrupted. If that action was a Spell, you strike for +22 damage. 5 ½ 4 Distracting Shot Core Ranger. Expertise 14 Distracting Shot Bow Attack If Distracting Shot hits, it interrupts target foe's action but deals only 15 damage. If the interrupted action was a skill, that skill is disabled for an additional 20 seconds. 10 ½ 2 Apply Poison Core Ranger. Wilderness Survival 9 Apply Poison Preparation For 24 seconds, foes struck by your physical attacks become Poisoned for 10 seconds. 12 2 7 Natural Stride Nightfall Ranger. Wilderness Survival 9 Natural Stride Stance For 5 seconds, you run 33% faster and have a 50% chance to block incoming attacks. Natural Stride ends if you become Hexed or Enchanted. 12 2 Grasping Earth Prophecies Elementalist. Earth Magic 9 Grasping Earth Hex Spell For 13 seconds, all nearby foes move 50% slower. 12 ¾ 10 Ward Against Foes Core Elementalist. Earth Magic 9 Ward Against Foes Ward Spell You create a Ward Against Foes at your current location. For 15 seconds, non-Spirit foes in this area move 50% slower. 20 1 15 Resurrection Signet Core No Profession. Unlinked Resurrection Signet Signet Resurrect target party member. Usage

• Maintain Apply Poison to provide condition pressure.
• Use Melandru's Shot to snare enemies.
• Use Melandru's Shot → Savage Shot to assist in spikes.
• Use your two interrupts wisely, take into account their effects.
• Use Grasping Earth for an AoE hex snare.
• Use Ward Against Foes in choke points (especially on relic runs to slow down opposing relics).
