Yea, I'm not worried about deleting. I just think it would be nice to have a way to do stuff like tagging those images, w/o having to manually do it. Or, like Toraen suggested, have it automatically rotate the Featured Builds. I'm actually working on that now. It may take some time (because I barely know what I'm doing), but it should be do-able.
rotating the builds wouldn't be too bad I suppose (albeit lazy). As for tagging, I can see no way what so ever of a bot being able to do that. The images are uncatagorised, so the bot wouldn't have any criteria with which to say "this needs tagging but that one doesn't", and even if you could find a way, I'm fairly certain it would take more time/effort than it's worth >.>. meh, if it's not needed, then I can always just perma the account. But it could tag uncategorized images, I would just have to make a list of all the ones that it needed to do first, which is basically the same amount of work.

Talk to Poke (which I need to do too), and then you and I will talk. I need to learn more about bots and programming before I go running around trying to do everything. I'd like to see what I can do that would actually be helpful.
after talking with poke...*looks to see if he's here*...he says that it'd just be easiest to manually add the tags. Any bot that could be made, would have to have the images it's tagging checked anyway (because apparently it'd be doing some guesswork). He says AWB is the best choice if you don't want to manually edit.
If you're wanting to make a bot you need to find something that it would be beneficial to have a bot do, and then programme it, based on that situation.
Something that would be useful to have a bot for would be the build packs. I'm fairly certain with a little bit of work you could make a bot that downloads the templates. It would save us having to do it, and it would be a lot quicker =p. 18:27, December 1, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, google has this nice which they use to associate keywords to images. That's actually a highly efficient way to correctly tag visual data (or take recaptcha as another example for image processing). It's something that cannot be made with automatisms, unless there are distinctive differences between different options, at least not in a near efficient way. Humans are just a lot quicker, they look at it and see the image as a whole and can say within milliseconds what the image is displaying (or what type it is, to come back to the tag problem), whereas an automaton only sees the abstract binary data and needs to find something which tells it what the image behind that data is about, based on previously defined rules (which is simply not easy). | 18:31, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Hmmm, do we really need anything that a bot could do? If not, I'll just keep using AWB. At least on the bot account the edits wont show up in the RC.

The build is already using daggers, Twisting Fangs is easier to spec for and will actually do damage. Don't add random theory-shit to builds.

Well, you're probably right. It is hypocritical of me to do that. However, I try to weigh context a lot more than probably other admins do, and Shazzy was intentionally baiting Blazing, but that's beside the point.
If you look at it w/o context, then yes, it makes me a hypocrite. But, hopefully you'll notice that I haven't used the word "autist" for quite some time now. That's actually because we have an autistic kid in our facility now, and I've realized that it is actually very cruel. In the past, I've always thought it was funny because I'd only met people who had Asperger's (which is an autism spectrum disorder) and I just assumed they were very similar. They're not. People with autism really do struggle to live daily and it kind of bugged me that I'd been using the word in such a frivolous way.
So, I apologize for being a hypocrite in this instance. I should have explained why I no longer liked/used the word before making that action, but hopefully Shazzy will be live with the irony considering his ban was only 2 hours.
Btw, this is not to say that I will ban people who use the word on sight. I will always do my best to weigh the context, but I really don't like the word any more.

The "Grace Expired" area includes Trial because, in the past, admins have just deleted any trial build that doesn't go into testing in 2 weeks. I didn't know you were abandoned tagging all of them. Sorry.
