You basically don't need attunes anymore in 8v8 builds. There's usually enough players/minions around that you'll ALWAYS be able to get the max effect out of eremite's zeal. Hell, even if you don't get max effect out of eremite's you'll almost always be at least as effective as attunement since it's so much harder to shutdown.--TahiriVeila () 21:19, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

Suggestions? Currently your vote is putting it in trash. Admittedly I mostly just copy-pasted it from AoD, but I know that we need an AoB derv, so I'm up for ideas. Maybe WW Attack instead of Eremite's (would lock into D/W, but that's fine) which would make the second flash enchant unneeded. Or something. -- -

This one was posted on Arenanet's site, and they know Guru has them (Regina posted in the guru thread discussing it, even saying "we hope you enjoyed this preview), GWW users have them on their own pages. I think it's safe to say this update leak isn't a violation. -- 09:56, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

What your a saying a physical without MoP is bad? This build is not made for balling(MoP is kinda useles when not balling), and as you might have missed these dervishes do not deal physical damage, so that leaves just the paragon with physical damage. The Keystone mesmer is there because the build did not have any kind of shutdown and it's e-easy management it can keep spamming some damage, i do have my doubts with the KS. But are there better options? Maybe SoI Dom/Illu mes with SoH, Panic SoH. Sorry, forgot to sign. 18:08, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

Keystone is a horrible skill, claiming that it's there for shutdown is pathetic. Any teambuild with 3 physicals and no physical buffs outside of SoH (orders, barbs, mop) is bad. Shut up and cry more.--TahiriVeila () 19:21, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

You think only one copy of Arcane Thievery be taken? I personally like those skills in place of things like Empathy because melee are easy to shut down with PD (rupt their lead, dev hammer or gust, etc.) but being able to steal Draw/Patient Spirit is great because they can't avoid it (unlike Diversion being prone to monk not casting or unveiling) And the two enchantment strips are all the utility you need. I'd rather "lock" myself on a melee skill than get a knockdown+major dps. Once disabled I'll look for something else to snap at, but the thievery skills and Inspired both recharge outside of the skill lock, which prevents me from being just a rupt bot the whole 8s. 09:54, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

To rupt a melee skill, yes. There is actually more benefit disabling nasty melee skills like Dev Hammer because it disables it for 12s before it can build adren; it's more like a 16s disable. 00:39, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

8 attacks (7 for adrenaline, 8 for Dev Hammer) is 416 damage, not 80. 9 for Crushing would be, of course, 468. Now, if you used ECharge then it'd only be 260, but that's purely from a single spell. Either way, that means that the warrior, after at most two sets of Dev, will be dead, by the effects of one skill. What do you do again? Oh, you disable like 4 skills with your whole bar. Cool story bro. -
You really need to learn about how PvP is played before commenting and calling me stupid... Where is this warrior who attacks through 400+ damage from Empathy? Doesn't exist. At the most they will still KD you, Crushing and then run away (If the monk hasn't already stripped Empathy). And what i didn't understand was "2 adren/precasting" bit. At that point you've completely shut them down so long as that hex is on them. Either they sit there and twiddle their thumbs, or they die. -- -
Do yourself a favour and don't discuss aspects of the game you don't know much about. A monk can heal over Empathy so easily, and if the monk is being pressured/war not getting heals, then it will *stop* after knocklocking you and not die.
