This build has been designed for the following use:

Spread degen quickly across shrines, carriers, and players to overwhelm your opponent. Out-cap your enemy and kill their carriers.

Variants

  • Viper's Defense Viper's Defense instead of Heart of Shadow Heart of Shadow for more shadow stepping
  • Lower Soul Reaping to 6+1 and Shadow Arts to 2, and increase Curses to 12+2 for a stronger Weaken Knees Weaken Knees but less energy management/healing.

Usage

  • Can "plant bombs" on shrines very quickly by casting Rotting Flesh followed by Suffering on the middle target. The degen will eventually kill them, and you can move on to other targets in the mean time, spreading "bombs" faster than the enemy team can keep up.
  • For a faster cap, cast Rotting Flesh -> Suffering -> Rising Bile -> Weaken Knees.
  • To kill carriers, cast Weaken Knees -> Rotting Flesh -> Suffering -> Rising Bile -> Weaken Knees. Wand in between casts for faster kill.
  • Use Weaken knees on players and spread degen across players.
  • Use Heart of the Shadow often and well to get around the map quickly and nuke safely from above.

  • The degen kills shrines slowly, so there is time for enemy healers to intervene. However, you take advantage of being able to spread degen to several shrines/targets in a short amount of time, giving you a very high DPS that is hard for the monk to keep up with over all.

Notes

  • 14 Curses instead of 13 will give a more powerful Weaken Knees, but the fact is you will be reapplying this hex on carriers before it ends, making the added power nearly useless. 13 Curses is required for Suffering to hit 3 degen.
