This build has been designed for the following use:

This is a balanced setup for use with caster or ranged martial players; it functions perfectly well with melee, but is not specifically optimized for that. It provides very strong spikes and decent ability to push kills thanks to a mesmer midline. Blood is Power is used to consolidate the energy management of the team, freeing up skill slots to be used for more offense and support. It is very capable of clearing any content. This team is largely based on the popular 7 hero version, and can easily be run without changing equipment or skills. Note that this is intended for Hard Mode - in Normal Mode 6-man areas, the enemies are weak enough that the ST's protection becomes obsolete, and armor-respecting damage is much more powerful.

Player

  • Any build will work, but should ideally be focused on ranged DPS.
  • Melee players can instead use a team that brings powerful melee-specific support.
  • Set the heroes to Guard Guard mode.

ST Ritualist

  • Micro the hero to place spirits ahead of dangerous encounters, where they won't get killed by the enemies, but still in spirit range of where your team will be.

Equipment

  • Insignias: Full Radiant. Blessed if more defense is preferred, but normally unneeded with ST Ritualist protection. Blessed over Shaman's because the armor won't matter in until the defensive spirits die.
  • Runes: Appropriate attribute runes, best Vigor affordable, Attunement on rest.
  • Weapons: 60 HP/20% HCT Spawning Power Staff. DO NOT be tempted to use a spear - this will cause the hero to run closer to enemies than the rest of the heroes due to lower range, and "Avoid Combat" may also cause it to run closer to enemies when trying to kite melee.
