Through the PvX vetting system, it has reached an overall rating in the range from 4.75 to 5.0 and thus qualifies for the highest category of working builds: Great.

This build has been designed for the following use:

This is a balanced setup for use with melee players. It provides very strong spikes and decent ability to push kills thanks to a mesmer midline. Blood is Power is used to consolidate the energy management of the team, freeing up skill slots to be used for more offense and support. The Channeling/Smite hybrid is played by a Monk hero (meaning Mercenary heroes and Zei Ri are not required).

ST Ritualist

Runes: 1x Minor/Major/Superior Vigor, the best one you can afford. +attribute runes on the rest, for the remaining pieces use attunement.

Weapons:

  • Hale Spawning Power Staff of Fortitude to counter the HP loss of using double superior runes so this hero doesn't get focussed more than your other heroes.
  • The inscription you put on the staff doesn't really matter. The best inscription is "Aptitude not Attitude", to lower the casting time of both enchantments, he has no use for the energy inscriptions. Don't bother with this inscription if you don't have that much money, it's really unnecessary.
  • Using spear+shield combo, the ST hero is in front of all your other heroes, which is a bad place to put up the spirits. If you then put him on "Avoid Combat", the hero kites away in random directions, often putting himself in the frontline of the fight, and that's the worst place for him to put spirits.

  • When using the PoD hero, give the ESurge 2 the same build as ESurge 1, and replace Death Pact Signet on the BiP with Vengeful Weapon or Weapon of Warding.

Usage

  • Set the heroes to Guard Guard mode.
  • Disable Strength of Honor and micro it on yourself, as well as a melee summon if you have one.

4 Player Areas

BiP is not at all recommended for a martial player with 3 heroes; it sacrifices a significant fraction of the team's power to provide energy for just 2 heroes and the player. Instead, use this team build.
