Build: Team - DoA Fragway

This build is for DoA-sc; it utilizes skill synergy centered around conditions to spike large groups.
It is a variant of the meta. It does not have the same ambitions though but it is a fun and efficient alternative which allows various professions into this speed clear.

General Usage

  • The catalyst of this team is Fevered Dreams Fevered Dreams. It means, this mesmer has to call a target so every other spiker can pick the same target for spreading conditions area wide.
  • When spiking groups with bosses, Mesmer with fevered dreams should not target the boss regarding "Finish Him!" "Finish Him!" usage (boss has high hp so it would not drop under 50% so easily).
  • Mesmer with fevered dreams should always target the foe most vulnerable to conditions. For instance Ghost or skeleton type are immune to some conditions so even if the other mobs are not, it will not spread to them. (in veil, ideal targets would be the flesh golems or the tormented foes)


Overview

This teambuild uses more or less the same tactics as the meta. Regarding tactics, it can only kill tendrils 3 by 3.

About the jobs, some builds are hybrid compared to the meta. for example caller will also have to do the Tendril killer role depending on the teambuild variant.

Average damages output per team

the damage is calculated with those expectations :

  • armor rating of foes is average 80 (100 -20 with cracked armor)
  • all offensive skills have been used (none was rupted)
  • lightbringer title is rank 8 (damage boost 40%)
  • main stats are at level 16 (should be up to level 19 with consumables)
  • foes are vulnerable to used conditions (skelettons, ghosts are immune to some)
  • anything happening more than 4s after beginning of the spike is not considered.

Average DoA mob HP would be around 800

Classic

  • average spike : 1798
  • continuous degen -16 (limit is -10 but extra points nullify 6 regen). -10 degen means -20hp per second.

Conditions renewal

  • average spike : 2216
  • continuous degen -16 (limit is -10 but extra points nullify 6 regen). -10 degen means -20hp per second.

Usage

  • summon Edge of Extinction Edge of Extinction and move it around with Summon Spirits (Kurzick) Summon Spirits (Kurzick)
  • Most of the time, spike with skills 1 to 3. Ancestors' Rage Ancestors' Rage must be used on the tank.
  • Destruction Destruction and Rupture Soul Rupture Soul are to be used in veil mainly and gloom(360, clover pull, tendrils spawn, earth tormentors spawn...). Set Destruction Destruction up near the tank, wait for the mobs to ball and destroy your spirit with Rupture Soul Rupture Soul

teambuild Conditions Renewal

This team can potentially face issues in foundry regarding titan respawning and the fact that shockwave ele jumps to spike. You might want to body block the titans of room3 along the wall.
Also, fury spike can be tough. Either pull fury group in the snakes or get a R/A tank. Also, target a fleshy foe (drider). ghost will not bleed, be poisoned or diseased.

  • jump on the tank with Ebon Escape Ebon Escape
  • pick same target as caller (it is important).
  • spike with Shockwave Shockwave -> Crystal Wave Crystal Wave -> Hypochondria Hypochondria

Notes

  • when using Crystal Wave Crystal Wave, it will remove all conditions to target and adjacent foes triggering Fragility Fragility and extra damages per condition. When using Hypochondria Hypochondria, it is important to target the foe under Fevered Dreams Fevered Dreams so it will pull the conditions of the area to this foe and thanks to Fevered Dreams Fevered Dreams the conditions will be reapplied to adjacent foes, triggering fragility once more in the process.
  • for some spikes like in foundry, it is advised to walk to target and keep Ebon Escape Ebon Escape to fall back to team.
  • this role should be tanking all the static pulls in veil. E/Mo will have to put Balthazar's Spirit Balthazar's Spirit on him to compensate energy lost to chocking gas
