This build has been designed for the following use:

  EoC.png This build requires an Essence of Celerity to operate properly.  

Speed Clear for the Shards of Orr dungeon using different professions to quickly kill Fendi Nin and get the Chest and, hopefully, a Bone Dragon Staff. Teams are usually formed at Vlox's Falls in the American district.

Usage

  • Keep up with the rest of team in 1 aggro bubble at the tail of the A/P tank, but do not run in front the tank or you will aggro mobs too quick and cause bodyblock for the tank during his torch job.
  • Ebon Escape to the A/P when a target has been called.
  • Make sure when you jump to the A/P "after he pings his target" that you do not pull or link the aggro onto the rangers. Ebon Escape/walk from a free zone (away from the rangers), to the tank.
  • Use Recall if you have experience about how the mobs act in SoO, since it can cause a negative aggro effect on the mobs. It happens that mobs keep holding aggro on both sides, they will not break aggro as long 1 member stil have aggro, so al members need to break aggro!
  • Keep in mind that Ebon Escape heals other people, and you can do the same pull tricks as with Recall at a shorter distance but with an similar effect.
  • Make sure Shandra gets doesn't get stuck on the mobs outside the poison traps on level 2, so that the LoD treasures can be taken without any aggro.

Level 1

  • In the first room follow the group up to the first brigand, aggro the mob in front of the room and pull them away as you run to the locked door.
  • When the group gets the key run to Level 2, using survival skills (if you brought them) to keep you alive.

Level 2

  • Body block with the tank, Use Weaken armor.
  • (option 1) Once the first group is dead, wait until the A/P reaches the right hand side of the slope and the team is awaiting at the bottom of the cliff - aggro the undead and pull them backwards such that the A/P does not aggro the undead group. The team will then EE onto the A/P. Once they are all safely in the next room, move to the cliff and use EE on the A/P (or cancel Recall if you brought it).
  • (option 2) Run to the wall and wait for the A/P to approach the hill. As the A/P approaches and then cancel recall. (If you didn't bring recall, use Ebon Escape on the A/P from the bottom of the cliff). All run in to the left side of the room, the mobs wil break aggro at the point where the door is. (this methode only work with more experienced people, who understand how aggro works)
  • After the door is unlocked run to the gate and wait for the key. Proceed to level 3.

Level 3

  • Follow the A/P as usual, and help the rest team by Ebon Escape healing them and try keep mobs away from them.
  • When you reach Fendi, wait for the A/P to get him on a wall, when the A/P calls run in and body block.
  • Maintain Weaken Armor on Fendi Nin and Soul of Fendi Nin.

Notes

  • The purpose of the A/N: To gate on level 1, to keep mobs away from the team and to provide cracked armor for the Rangers.

Usage

  • This is the hardest job and largely determines the speed of the whole run. Make sure you know what you are doing.
  • When you are tanking, it is advised to alternate your defensive skills, and not use all at once, so that you will die less.
  • To maintain shadow Form you have to drop the torch than cast Shadow Form.
  • If you are a more experienced tank, you can light the braziers and cast Shadow Form without dropping the torch. Whilst you won't be able to maintain Shadow Form this way, it speeds up the run and makes the non-SF players less vulnerable, since they won't be standing around waiting for you as much, wile you are dropping the torch to cast SF en pick up the torch egain.
  • Bring Ebon Battle Standard of Honor if there is a VoS Dervish in the team.

Usage

  • Use SQ on the right moment before ebon escape during run. During attack before triple shot (Wait cast SQ until soul of Fendi spawns).
  • Keep up Glass arrows and Heart of Holy Flame when attack (don't overcast so you maintain your energy).
  • When the tank pull mobs to him, the rangers should attack the foes while keeping them out of their aggro range. A higher position will help extend your range.
  • It's possible to begin attacking as soon the tank has aggro (as long you stay out of the mobs aggro). That way you can kill priority targets like the 1 Skeleton Priest, 2 Zombie Necromancer and 3 Cursed Brigand.
  • With the exception at level 2 on the graveyard. Rangers need to wait attack for the tank, so he can make a tight ball of the mobs and ping his target.
  • Rangers do not cause scatter with their skills idem does GDW or Splinter Weapon. So mobs not need te be bodyblocked at al.
  • Use of a candy corn/golden egg and grail of might at level 3 is recommended. Specially for energy conservation.
  • For ability to do maximum damage and spam the skills in your build, you need to raise your attribute points in expertise to >19 and use a pumpkin pie to reach the max cap attack speed and activation time.
  • Use a zealous flatbow of deadtbane at Fendi/ soul of Fendi. Flatbow gives the most damage/energy there.
  • Rangers should focus and kill the mobs first, that are out of the ball, when there is a VoS dervish in the team. (offdamage)

  • Maintain your pcons.
  • Use Sand Shards Sand Shards -> Vow of Strength Vow of Strength -> Heart of Holy Flame Heart of Holy Flame -> Eremite's Attack Eremite's Attack to spike.
  • Use Great Dwarf Weapon Great Dwarf Weapon on the rangers at NecromancerFendi Nin.
  • Use Ebon Battle Standard of Honor Ebon Battle Standard of Honor inside the rangers before every spike.
  • Use Favorable Winds Favorable Winds behind the rangers before every spike.
  • Use Ebon Escape Ebon Escape to jump in for spikes, speed up the run and heal.
  • Maintain Heart of Holy Flame Heart of Holy Flame at NecromancerFendi Nin.

Notes

  • Don't jump in to spike NecromancerFendi Nin, take out your bow and stay with the rangers.

General Usage

  • Rangers should spread out when spiking to avoid any AoE blind that could be caused by Blinding Surge. (exception at fendi stay in ward honor)
  • Keep up with the rest of the team, and stay within 1 aggro bubble behind the A/P. Do not run in front of the tank or you could cause the A/P to become bodyblocked - potentially screwing the run while it carries the lit torch.
  • Before the A/P calls a target, prepare your skills. When it calls the target, spike.
  • Use Ebon Escape as necessary to heal allies.

Level 1

  • Upon entering Shards of Orr, run to the Beacon of Droknar and take the blessing.
  • Drop 1500 gold for the consumables (3x Essence of Celerity).
  • Once the Essence has been used, follow the A/P who should chain "Can't Touch This!" for the group. Use Ebon Escape to stay close to the A/P and heal teammates.
  • Once you have reached the Cursed Brigand, the A/N will run to the gate. Wait for the A/P to call the Cursed Brigand as a target before start spike.
  • Once the Brigand has been killed the A/N will zone to Level 2.

Level 2

  • Take the Blessing from the Beacon while the A/P balls the group on the wall. Kill them.
  • Run to the wall and wait for the A/P to approach the hill. When the A/P approaches the brazier at the top of the hill, use Ebon Escape on the A/P.
  • Run to the safe area (to the right) and wait while the A/P balls the foes. Once the A/P has called a target, use your chain.
  • Follow the A/P through a small group of foes to the next room and wait for them to separate the Brigand.
  • Kill the brigand. If you want the Deldrimor treasures, get them now.
  • The A/N will eventually zone.

Level 3

  • Stay with the A/P and the rest of the team as you make your way to the Brigand.
  • Keep an eye on everyone's health, especially the A/P. Use Ebon Escape to heal.
  • Once in the Brigand hall run to the far left corner and wait for the A/P to group the Brigand's mob.
  • A/N Ebon Escapes onto the A/P as soon the A/P cal his target. (1 priest, 2 necromancer 3 brigand)
  • Follow the A/P through the door and make your way to Fendi. Beware of traps. Consider moving to the far side of Fendi's chamber.
  • Once the A/P has Fendi where he wants it, spike him. (use a Flatbow of deathbane)
  • Rinse and repeat, a good time is 5 minutes at level 3 but with experienced teams it is possible to get under 5 minutes.

Notes

  • Rangerway is able to finish Shards of Orr faster than Snoway. Rangers do not cause scatter on the mobs like Ray of Judgment and Snowstorm does, making smoother runs possible.
  • It is often beneficial to bring some resurrection scrolls so that the party doesn't have to wipe if the A/P dies.
