I tried the above in HM Iron Mines. It's very similar to the Glass Arrows builds that we've had here every now and then. Damage was good but energy was an issue. Heroes don't cast BiP on the player, so you're on your own energy wise (I believe temporarily equipping a caster weapon will make the BiP give you energy). PBS/ZS are a bit meh with EBSoH because the short range means the standard is probably placed wrong, and you're not really stacking on your backline.
I'm a huge fan of "Dodge This!" in single target bow builds, but I feel that EBSoH would play into the strengths of TaO. --DANDY ^_^ -- 04:18, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

Notes[]
1) This page does not tell users which bow type to bring. 2) Replacing the penetrating attacks with point blank + Zojun's shot might improve the combat performance and allow for a better energy management at the cost of buffing less allies with TaO. 3) Body shot could be a good optional for teams with cracked armour. --Krschkr (talk) 17:56, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
I don't really know how to edit appropriately... I don't mind leaving bow choice up to the player here. With Needling Shot you can kind of do whatever you want since the arrow moves so quickly. Hornbow pen wouldn't apply to the NS, but it would apply to the sundering skills. Long/Flat can utilize their range without missing as often as a standard auto attack (again because the arrow speed from NS is enhanced). Short/Recurve feel pretty similar in terms of DPS since NS recharges when you hit, and Recurve has the shortest flight time which directly affects DPS, granted less than faster attack speed. Expert Focus[]
Quick note on Expert Focus; its energy reduction is only to base energy cost, before expertise. This means that this energy save at current expertise level will make Needling Shot 1 energy, but it will NOT change the energy cost of pen/sun shot, keeping it at 3 energy. It might still be fine on energy (especially if you BiP yourself), but I think it's worth noting that there might be other options for a preparation as well because of this mechanic. --Rainemard (talk) 12:17, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
- I am in fact stupid, it does reduce energy by 1 at current expertise. I've calculated it wrong, so it is worth bringing. I wonder though if Rapid Fire + Point Blank would be a good variation for this, since it'll help your autos too and won't force you to bring a pet or use PvE skills for an IAS. Mostly suggesting this because TAO would buff melees (and minions!) as well when going half-range with a shortbow, meaning you'd be forced to be optimal there.
