Guide talk:AB Mobbing

Just make an alliance battles guide and make this part of it.--ViYsig5.jpgVictoryisyours (talk/pvxcontribs) 22:08, 21 November 2007 (CET)

The problem I see with such a general proposal is that we've got an entire portal for AB. Why bother with a portal if we're going to combine everything into one guide? I think mobbing (and capping) hold enough specifics to warrant detailed articles, and too much to put into a single AB guide. --Scottie bow.jpg Scottie_theNerd (argue) 22:32, 21 November 2007 (CET)
Do we REALLY need a guide for mobbing? Just have a bunch of retards clump together and yell "CHAAAARRRRGGGE!" and you're fine. This doesn't need a guide. Also, half the stuff is opinion. Mobbing is an effective way of winning, whether you like it or not. Thus, it is a strategy, disproving that "Mobbing is a fairly simple tactic and is often the result of teams not having any real strategy" --GoD Sign.jpgGuildofDeals 02:48, 27 November 2007 (CET)
It's only effective because people are baed. The only time I played in a decent PUG, Vent and everything, we won nine rounds running on Saltspray despite the other eight Luxons being total idiots and spending the entire match charging the Kurzick bridge-mob one at a time. --71.229.204.25 02:53, 27 November 2007 (CET) lol storytime everyone
AB in and of itself is just a powertrip. Get vent and a decent team and you can roll ever. Once, Rawr, myself, Tab, and Misfate held off 12 people across the hillside res shrine and the other two shrines up top but ourselves. See Scottyway. —ǥrɩɳsɧƿoɲ 04:26, 27 November 2007 (CET)
Anyway, this is hardly a "guide" as much as an opinion on "don't mob unless you wanna be a noob." Slap a delete tag on 'cause I'm too lazy to. --GoD Sig3.jpgGuildofDeals 10:15, 29 December 2007 (EST)
I have attempted to incorporate the intricacies of popular opinion along with the tactical effectiveness and ineffectiveness of mobbing. The subject is common in AB and deserves a guide. If you feel that it presents an unbalanced perspective of the topic, please rewrite it rather than deleting it. Essentially, mobbing is for noobs -- unless you have a comprehensive argument otherwise. If you do, please contribute it to the article. --Scottie bow.jpg Scottie_theNerd (argue) 21:00, 30 December 2007 (EST)

Mobbing

I support replacing this entire article with the sentence "Don't do it".Bob fregman 21:07, 6 January 2008 (EST)

I support this notion, on the condition that every player on Guild Wars abides by it. We wouldn't need to have an article if it doesn't exist in the game. --Scottie bow.jpg Scottie_theNerd (argue) 01:07, 7 January 2008 (EST)
