In reference to this. Since when have we ever required evidence to claim that a build works in hard mode to say that on the page? You are also in violation of 1RV. i honestly don't see an issue here. Rask clearly stated that "All testing so far has been in NM," and since most builds here are geared toward hm, it would make sense to clarify that point, just as the nm farm pages do. and vids are pretty standard on any established/to-be-established sc/farm page. also, the current 5-5's on that page pertained its nm performance (talk about ridiculous btw), so in fact, those votes would be (more) invalid if the "Normal Mode" note were removed, thus permitting the reader to assume it got 5-5'ed due to its hm performance. can you explain why 5-5's based on nm performance were even allowed? thanks. ♟Fianchetto

PvXwiki PvE 101, welcome to class. Assume HM unless otherwise stated. The set of all normal mode areas is a subspace of all hard mode areas. You can prove this by showing that if you take you take any two NM areas and add them together, they are still easier than the sum of their HM equivalents. You can also make the observation that the Hard Mode version is in fact a harder version of the Normal Mode area. By convention of theorycraft, unless a vote explicitly states Normal Mode, it assumes Hard Mode. The fact that it works in normal mode does not disprove that it works in hard mode and to assume such is to be ridiculous. i never assumed it can't work in hm, i just strongly suspected it. thus i never edited it saying "only in hm" or whatever. on the contrary, certain...logicians were assuming that if it works in nm, it must be great in hm as well. i see you don't find this ridiculous at all (for various reasons i'm sure). especially when it concerns doa, where basically any random scrub team can eventually finish nm, but it's a different game to finish hm in a non-aweful time. in fact, i'm not sure what to make of the lack of info about how long runs take. more importantly, the lack of vids, now that a hm run was done (it seems) isn't too impressive or convincing. also, i didn't know i was talking to you, Rask/Relyk. cool. ♟Fianchetto

That conversations happen outside of PvX, right? And just because you weren't in on said conversation doesn't mean it didn't happen. In fact, the vast majority of discussion has not been on PvX, but through GW/Skype/MSN. The build has been tested in HM, and aside from people (cough cough Minion) being retarded, runs would have gone fine in HM. Also, make sure you understand that everybody who's tried it has said that the build works. Have you tried the build? No? Needs better reasoning tbh. Star Burst doesn't have a snare, and in no way can come even close to the spike damage that MoI has. With SB, you have to run 3-5 skills just to push out decent DPS, while MoI only needs 3. But all that's kinda moot considering the build isn't trying to be Star Burst, or in other words, pure damage. It's meant as an actual tank, which you actually can call it due to the +42 armor from Armor of Mist; the tankability, combined with other utility (i.e. Maelstrom), a snare, and some big spike damage (you can very reasonably expect about 250-300 damage after armor), is what makes it good. Or does that somehow not sound like the perfect compliment to a 7H build? jī·gō·dǔ - 12:32, 28 Jun 2012 (UTC)

Oh, and one thing I want to mention here because it always annoyed me on Star Burst: All of MoI's damage is the same range.
