Usage

Weapon sets

  • Use your staff for general spell casting.
  • Switch to your high set when needed.
  • Remain in your low energy set when facing energy denial. If you have to, switch to your staff only for as short as possible.
  • Switch to your shield set when idle or under attack.

Skills

  • Enchant your team mates with Watchful Intervention.
    • Start doing this before combat.
    • Keep doing this mid-combat.
    • It is rarely important to have this enchantment on yourself due to your good self-defense.
    • Dervish players may tear this enchantment down, forfeiting its healing potential.
  • Heal party members with Signet of Pious Light.
    • This is your main healing skill. Fake out interrupts if necessary.
    • The recharge time reduction bypasses Diversion. You can safely cast into this hex.
    • You should not use this for yourself.
  • Counter spikes or catch team members low on health with Imbue Health.
  • Remove relevant hexes and conditions with Empathic Removal.
  • Maintain Mystic Regeneration (PvP) if you take damage.
    • If they go for your party members only you can use it for teardown purposes.
  • Maintain Vital Boon.
    • Its removal provides plenty of healing, allowing you to heal yourself from damage by healing other party members with your signet.
    • Renew it quickly to benefit from the health boost for imbue health.
  • Maintain Mirage Cloak against physical attacks.
    • This allows you to ignore most ranger interrupts.
    • As this is a flash enchantment you can prevent quarter knocking.
    • If your team is not under pressure you can use it to deal some damage.
  • Use Eremite's Zeal to maintain your energy.

Counters

  • Very high consistent pressure.
    • Other than a monk this dervish's healing power is limited by recharge times, not energy.
  • Magebane Shot bypasses Mirage Cloak.
    • Most rangers use it randomly and give you a safe window for using your signet. Else fake it out.
  • Psychic Distraction.
