Strong abuse of overpowered illusion skills; less strong in caster heavy areas, but still kills shit fast.

Double Illusion Heroes make sure that enemies will either be swinging the air or interrupted, whilst dealing huge amount of armour ignoring AoE damage. On top of that Panic and standard backline turn your daily dose of PvE into a rather boring session.

you can get more damage playing with a build like this (cspace) using esurge/panic dom builds due to better range, energy consumption and strength of spike. The defensive capabilities of two ineptitude mesmers can be duplicated with one skill r9 spec; Aegis or even Enfeebling Blood. Blind is never necessary and dom has more powerful and cheaper skills.

Concluding with; it works, it's a niche team, but in certain areas it can be effective.

dual illusion magic is very effective in general. It's good to know that the illusion hexes don't stack. IV + FoC is an awesome combo for damage and killing, and delicious minions + SoS makes more mayhem for AI.

zzz SoS is for pussies. Pushes tons of focused AoE damage, Martial Shutdown, Caster Hate, and plenty of support for caster or melee classes. All in all this is a perfect build for nearly any area.

It's a cspace build. Since when did you need massive amounts of nearby AoE in a cspace build? And by "massive amounts of nearby AoE" I mean ~100 more nearby AoE than what Ineptitude produces (WE is nearby gais). Also note that the aforementioned increase in nearby AoE is every 10 or so seconds, so like 10 extra nearby DPS. The damage here is massive enough that it should tear through practically anything, and it still has two healers, an ST/MM, defensive stuff on the necro's, and perma blind on the entire mob (considering no single small mob should be standing after 5 seconds, a 10sec recharge blind that lasts 10 seconds is hugely helpful).

Lots of dmg but I guess the damage mitigation doesnt work as good in caster heavy areas.

Abuse the damage you can pump from illusion to drop enemies fast and roll through PvE. Panic is great for triggering illusion often as it prevents spellcasting and enemies autoattack immediately. This also work extremely well in melee heavy areas, notably the Deep, as enemies will trigger Illusion spells immediately for clean spikes. This all includes the antimelee utility you get from the bar.

In terms of spikes, this is pretty weak because it doesn't create clean spikes. Using two inepts means you can't stack on spike and Panic will be interrupting enemy attacks. That's not to say Panic is bad, because even with Esurge, wandering eye is the only one likely to hit all foes in the group immediately if at all.

Universality = spirits + shutdown from blind + mistrust.

Effectiveness = 4 because this level of anti-attack is stupid. One inep is enough - you can equate that with aegis and enfeeble.

Missing the point of bring double ineptidute and personaly i don't like it to let heroes bring SoS or micro heroes with it. SoS is attractive to attack for mobs in first place, and heroes cast it any spot. What might pul mobs away from where you want to have them. So al AoE gets lost~. Also missing some more hex removers. Only 1 x shatter hex is not enough to make this team set up working in al erea's. The overall damage output can be improved a lot. But use mesmers as main damage dealers is an strong choice.

I've experimented with the dual ineptitude setup, but I found it inferior to domination based midlines due to the reduced damage of illusion mesmers.

The build which I (and many others) used for their 30/30 and 50/50s. Works reliably in all areas including elite areas.
