Similar build to Build:Me/any Psychic Instability Hero but very different usage for players Diwo 22:24, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

why leech signet? for single target interrupt? CoF? or for energy? power drain?Illoyon 22:28, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
if you use CoP early while mobs still KDed you'll need another interrupt to let the -45 Wastrel's pulse to get through. Leech helps with energy but CoF is a good alternative too Diwo 22:31, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
I'd go for CoF. Interrupting mobs just when they stand up after KD works very well in JQ. Also CoF got nice damage. Really like an idea of this build :). Triss 00:42, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
Good luck taking a bar with pve skills into JQ. SpongeBobSignaturePants 00:43, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
Omg,what I mean was if it's working in JQ capping shrines it would work in PvE on mobs. And about JQ playing,I mean CoF,not CoP. Triss 00:57, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
it works somewhat, but the damage is extremely unreliable and panic does a much better job for triggering wastrels--Relyk 01:04, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
PI is dependent on the player and the skills of foes while Panic relies on having a higher number of foes. I don't think you can make the claim that Panic is more reliable. Earthbind is a really awesome skill but it could be noted somewhere for areas that have foes that can't normally be knocked down. I suggest Power Drain, Overload, and Power Spike with CoF mainbar. Ebon Wisdom Ward or Ebon sin for PvE skills maybe. Cuilan 23:40, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
And shouts. Cuilan 00:41, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
You can use any skill you like with the build, the optionals are just suggestions that synergize with the rest of the bar. The skills you mentioned may work well, but they don't particularly offer any synergy, they are just generic skills that you can put on any build. You can of course bring your favorite PvE skills along if you like, but everyone has their own preference and it's impractical to list them all. --Diwo 08:31, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Yeah lets use traps with it. Cuilan 16:34, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Hyperbole is cool. Just add the skills you'd like to see to the variants list (it's kinda small right now). -- Toraen confer 18:46, 10 February 2012 (UTC)

The first four skills I agree with, not so sure about cry of frustration vs cry of pain - I'd rather have CoF personally. Needs chaos storm imo. -- Chieftain Alex 21:10, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

Cry of Pain is vital to the build imo even if you aren't using it for the interrupt as it adds a lot of AoE damage. You can always use CoF as the interrupt after using CoP. Personally I run this build with Chaos Storm too in many situations, but usually it's not used during the chain since 12345 is more effective than instability+chaos storm so I didn't mainbar it. Build Name

Although the wastrels damage can result in a nice spike alongside cry of frustration this build isn't really what I'd think of when someone mentioned a "nuker". Doesn't that term mean a dedicated damage dealer inflicting large amounts of AoE damage on (tanked and) balled up foes? This is more a shutdown/pressure mix. At least in PvP this is often referred to as "wastrels mesmer", so what'd you think about "Build:Me/any Psychic Instability Wastrel's"? (PI should be mentioned as there's also Lyssa's Aura wastrels spam mesmers) --Krschkr (talk) 19:43, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
